Workshop D Predictive Modeling: A Novel Approach to Substance Use Disorder Prevention Elliott Liebling, MPH , Assistant Director, Research and Development, RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery Diane Litterer, MPA , CEO & Executive Director New Jersey Prevention Network Andrea Zapcic , Assistant Director, Prevention RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery Course Desription: We all know evidence-based strategies and hope they will positively affect our communities. This workshop will demonstrate how New Jersey is using a unique predictive model that takes a scientific path to determine potential impact of prevention strategies for coalitions to utilize in planning. The RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery, in partnership with the New Jersey Prevention Network and RTI Inter- national, developed the New Jersey Substance Use Prevention Predictive Outcomes Research Tool (NJ SUPPORT). NJ SUPPORT uses a predic- tive model built in to measure the likely health outcomes and positive economic impact of particular prevention interventions. This work- shop will highlight the collaboration among these state and national experts to support coalitions’ Strategic Prevention Framework and select the most appropriate interventions that will result in the highest impact for their communities.
