Youth Achieve their Potential with the Right Guidance In 2021, Favio Jasso was severely depressed, neglected his health and schooling, and left high school in 10th grade. He enrolled in NewBridge Services’ Jobs Plus program and flourished as a result of receiving counseling and support with academics and setting and attaining goals, which included employment skills, and college and career planning. Favio completed the program and earned his diploma in three months while working in social media marketing. Immediately afterward, he devoted his energies to improving his health and creating a marketing business. Favio is currently studying Business Administration at the County College of Morris and providing freelance marketing services to businesses. He plans to transfer to Rutgers Business School–Newark after he completes his Associate’s degree. “Favio has a strong work ethic, became a role model for other young adults in the program and was recognized as an Associate of the Month,” said Favio’s counselor, Amy Sheppard, LCSW, who worked with Favio every week throughout his time in the program. “If it weren’t for my counselor Amy, I would never have had the courage to apply for the Business Administration Courses I am currently taking.” Favio Jasso Watch Amy and Favio share their story of how their partnership enabled Favio to achieve his goals. 8 H
