Registration Brochure 13 Afternoon Session Number and Type of Credits: Clinical Building an Age-friendly Behavioral Health System, Course #6433 is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 8/19/2025 - 8/19/2027. Social workers completing this course will receive 1 clinical continuing education credit. This course is approved by the NJ Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA), as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits. NAADAC Provider #87719, NJAMHAA is responsible for all aspects of the programming. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Built on the foundation of the age-friendly health system, the age-friendly behavioral health framework provides mental health and substance use clinicians with a unique version of the framework to guide and enhance care for older adults. This workshop will provide essential background knowledge about the needs of older adults in mental health and substance use settings, practical tools for assessing and applying the framework, and strategies to support framework sustainability. Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, attendees will be able to: 1. Define the 4Ms of an age-friendly behavioral health system. 2. Describe the unique needs of older adults regarding mental health and substance use. 3. List strategies and tools for sustaining this framework in a practice setting.
