14 NJAMHAA's Spring Conference 2025 Ann Basil, LCSW Director of Behavioral Health Services WellPoint Number and Type of Credits: General Social Work 100 Days In - Behavioral Health Integration through Medicaid Managed Care, Course #6481, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 2/25/2025 - 2/25/2027. Social workers completing this course will receive 1.25 general continuing education credit. This course is approved by the NJ Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA), as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Now that the transition period has ended for the integration of outpatient behavioral health services through Medicaid managed care, this panel of providers, state Medicaid staff and representatives of managed care organizations will share their experiences, outlooks and expectations regarding staffing, fiscal impacts and individual outcomes. Challenges that have been overcome and those that remain will be identified, as well as what has worked well for all parties, particularly for beneficiaries. As the system transformation continues, with integration of other services on the horizon, panelists will share their recommendations for moving forward. Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, attendees will be able to: 1. Describe the impact the carve-in of outpatient services has had on providers. 2. Describe the impact the carve-in is having on individual outcomes. 3. Identify challenges that remain to ensure optimum access to appropriate care.
