Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) as an individual course. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This workshop is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools to address the intersection of housing instability, mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and behavioral challenges. Participants will explore the critical role stable housing plays in promoting health and well-being, while learning practical strategies to overcome barriers that clients face in accessing and maintaining housing. This session incorporates evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed care and housing-first principles, to foster sustainable solutions. Through interactive discussions and actionable insights, attendees will develop the skills needed to collaborate with community partners, advocate for housing equity, and implement client-centered strategies that lead to lasting success.
