Registration Brochure 9 Morning Session DAY 1 | APRIL 8, 2025 Kenneth Kinter, MA, LPC Licensed Professional Counselor Insights Counseling & Training Services COURSE DESCRIPTION: The presentation will provide an overview of the types of trauma, a basic overview of the neurobiology of trauma, the effects of trauma on the brain and functioning of the individuals and strategies to assist in the healing process of trauma. Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, attendees will be able to: 1. Describe the neurobiology of trauma and how it affects the brain and daily functioning. 2. Identify the cognitive, behavioral, social and emotional effects of trauma on individuals. 3. List two to three strategies to utilize in response to the four typical trauma responses. Target Audience: Professionals in Mental Health Audience Target Levels: Intermediate Number and Type of Credits: General Social Work Trauma-Informed Care - Healing from Trauma, One Step at a Time, Course #6222, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 2/20/2025 - 2/20/2027. Social workers completing this course will receive 1 general continuing education credit.
