Program Book 3 From the Desk of Steve Hirsch I would like to personally welcome you to the NJAMHAA IT Project’s Conference 2026, Empowering the Digital Future . As I began planning this year’s conference, my goal was to develop a program that meaningfully intertwines behavioral health and technology—and I believe we have achieved that. While the agenda includes a strong focus on artificial intelligence, the sessions go well beyond documentation. Attendees will explore how to create strategic roadmaps for AI integration, operationalize AI within their organizations, leverage machine learning to influence behavioral health outcomes, and move beyond the hype to examine practical, real-world applications. In addition, recognizing the importance of safeguarding both systems and people, several sessions address critical cybersecurity topics. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services for their ongoing and unwavering support of the IT Project. Their partnership is essential to both the success of this conference and the continued advancement of the IT Project.
