14 Transformational Leadership with Powerful Results NJAMHAA’s Advocacy Reaches a Broader Audience through Traditional and Social Media NJAMHAA secured substantial visibility in the media throughout FY2024, which reinforces its advocacy and contributes to more transformative results for the behavioral healthcare system and the lives of individuals it serves. These achievements include 32 media hits in print, radio and television, in addition to being in hundreds of social media posts. NJAMHAA continued the impactful momentum of the Diverse Faces series with the third campaign, All Are Worthy of Full Investment . In January, shortly after the campaign launch, Dr. Wentz’s opinion-editorial (op-ed), “New Jersey must invest to meet the state’s increased behavioral health care needs”, was published on nj.com and in the Star-Ledger . Another op-ed that was part of the campaign, “Every NJ resident struggling with mental health deserves recovery, success”, written by Shauna Moses, Vice President, Public Affairs and Member Services, was published on Northjersey.com in February. The campaign continued to have impact with another of Dr. Wentz’s op-ed pieces, New Jersey should invest in all its residents’ behavioral health care , published on MosaicNJ.com in late April. In mid-April, NJAMHAA co-hosted a new, additional endeavor, a press conference, New Jerseyans Cannot Wait Any Longer for Life Saving Care . Dr. Wentz participated with leaders of The Arc of New Jersey, Alliance for the Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities, New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth and Families and New Jersey Association of Community Providers. The pre-event promotion resulted in Dr. Wentz and other advocates being featured in “Advocates, health professionals plead for more money for youth mental health” in NJ Spotlight News .
