A n early-January issue of New Jersey Business Today featured “Reducing the Stigma of Men’s Mental Health”, which included expert insights from Frank Ghinassi, PhD, ABPP, a member of the NJAMHAA and NJMHI Boards; President and CEO, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care; and Senior Vice President, Behavioral Health and Addictions Service Line, RWJBarnabas Health. Later in January, the NJ Morning Show featured “Dr. Chalakani talks about Mental Health Issues”. Dr. Chalakani is a NJAMHAA Board member and CEO of Preferred Behavioral Health Group. She was interviewed again about the mental health long-term impacts for kids on NJ Now , May 5, 2024. I n May, Bob Budsock co-wrote another op-ed piece, “Mental health and the rise of fentanyl overdoses,” with Carolyn Beauchamp, President and CEO of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, which was published in NJ Spotlight News . NJAMHAA also continued to increase its visibility by promoting its conferences and webinars in traditional media and online, and sharing social media posts by NJAMHAA and other organizations about mental illnesses and substance use disorders, and related awareness observances, educational events and other news. From June 2, 2023 through June 6, 2024, NJAMHAA posted on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter 505 times. These posts were viewed over 44,000 (44,051) times and generated 1,518 likes and reposts. In addition, the number of followers reached nearly 4,350 (4,322).
