32 75 th Anniversary For the keynote, Swifties, Startups, and the Singularity: Reimagining the Future of Behavioral Health , Stephen K. Klasko, MD, MBA, Executive in Residence, General Catalyst and Board Chair, Teleflex, presented an entertaining and visionary presentation, highlighting the increasing need, as well as value, of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies, along with the ongoing importance of the human touch. Dr. Klasko then moderated a panel discussion with thought leaders Bob Gold, Founder and Chief Behavioral Technologist, GoMo Health®; Deborah Visconi, President and CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center; and Regina Widdows, MA, NJAMHAA Board Member and President and CEO, SERV Behavioral Health System Inc. They shared additional insights and outlooks on how technology can enhance behavioral health care, as well as related challenges and recommended solutions. Theresa Miskimen Rivera, MD, DLFAPA, President, American Psychiatric Association, delivered the second day keynote presentation, Transforming Mental Health Care: The Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) in Action . She illustrated the core principles and benefits of CoCM and shared recommendations for expanding this highly effective model. 2026 Conference Highlights For the plenary session Behavioral Health: New Jersey’s Landscape and Vision for the Future , state leaders shared insights on current and emerging trends and their impact on New Jersey’s behavioral health system, as well as their visions for strengthening the system in light of these challenges. The presenters were Dr. Stephen Cha, Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS); Carmen Diaz-Petti, LCSW, Deputy Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Children and Families; and Valerie Mielke, MSW, Deputy Commissioner for Health Services, DHS. For the second day plenary, Behavioral Health Now and in the Future: Federal Policy and State Impacts , Chuck Ingoglia, MSW, President and CEO, National Council for Mental Wellbeing, shared his insights on the national behavioral healthcare landscape with details on the anticipated impacts of H.R.1 and the progress being made on expanding Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics.
