FY2026 Annual Report

Annual Report FY2026 37 “ The mentorship and coaching I received helped me navigate one of the biggest professional transitions of my life: moving from an interim CEO role to a permanent one. My mentor and coach helped me learn what it truly means to lead in this role. They guided me in how to grow into it, how to succeed in it, and how to show up for my organization in a whole new way. That’s not a small thing, and I truly believe the support I received through this programmade a real difference. What I appreciated most was that my mentor and coach made themselves available, checked in, and continued to offer guidance when I needed it most. That kind of sustained, personal support means everything when you’re stepping into new territory. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity, and I’ve seen real growth in myself because of it. If you’re a leader considering this program, don’t hesitate. It’s worth it. ” Jennifer Hughes, LCSW 2025-2026 Leadership Academy Mentee Chief Executive Officer NAMI NJ NJMHI is also gearing up to launch the fifth cohort of its Leadership Academy for Behavioral Healthcare Professionals. This cost-effective, year-long program is designed to give aspiring leaders in the field expert guidance in working toward their career goals; and to increase organizations’ retention of staff, as well as recruitment of new employees, which also contributes to the agencies’ long-term viability and the consistency and high quality of the services they provide. The Leadership Academy is open to mentees and mentors who are working (and, in the case of some mentors, have worked) in any capacity in the behavioral healthcare field, including clinical, administrative, legal, finance, human resources and information technology. It is also open to coaches in other industries whose different expertise and experience add to the value of this program.
