Annual Report FY2026 43 Successes in FY2026 Indicate Strong Potential for a Better Future W hile the behavioral health landscape remained challenging throughout FY2026, NJAMHAA and its members have continually demonstrated remarkable resilience and innovation. Many provider members are not only surviving, but thriving. These successes reflect the strength of partnerships forged among association staff, our provider members, legislators, and policymakers at both the state and federal levels. Looking ahead, proposed federal policy changes threaten Medicaid funding and may intensify the challenges of serving a growing population in need. Now more than ever, it is critical that NJAMHAA staff and members continue to work in close alignment. Our provider members’ expertise and firsthand experience are irreplaceable. Their knowledge shapes NJAMHAA’s communications with state and federal leaders, and their collective voice amplifies the association’s advocacy. The successes highlighted throughout this report, spanning budgets, legislation, and regulation, stand as clear evidence of that influence. NJAMHAA draws this invaluable input from members’ participation in Membership Meetings, practice groups, and councils. Staff are deeply grateful for this engagement and look forward to continued collaboration with both longstanding and new participants.
