Technology Council The Technology Council is comprised of companies that offer electronic health record (EHR) systems, telecommunications, time-saving documentation software, cybersecurity assistance and other resources that support efficient delivery of high-quality services that lead to improved health outcomes. All of the panelists shared guidelines for avoiding denials of claims and resources their organizations offer to assist providers. During another meeting, Ward Sanders provided an overview of the 1115 Waiver and carve-in and Brian Smock, MA, Vice President, Payer Relations and Strategy, High Focus Centers Pyramid Healthcare Hammonton, shared tips for preparing for managed care. In addition, Sherry Marchand, CPMA, Chief Executive Officer, Founder and Senior Consultant, Core Consulting Solutions, LLC, delivered a presentation on the types of data providers need to collect to become credentialed, as well as guidelines for doing business, with HMOs. Life Sciences & Innovation Council Co-chair: Dean Gianarkis, MS, PharmD Former Director, Internal Medicine, Field Medical Outcomes & Analytics, Pfizer, Inc. Katrina Iserman Director, State Government Relations and Public Affairs, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The Life Sciences & Innovation Council (LSIC) also meets on a regular basis and consists of representatives from pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, as well as service providers and staff from the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services and the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Nearly every meeting features an informative presentation, such as Shaping the Future of Behavioral Health: Innovative Models for Providing Integrated Care; Psychiatric Pharmacists on the Frontlines of Mental Health Care ; and Access to Treatment after the End of the Public Health Emergency and COVID 19 Emergency .
