Combined NJAMHAA/NJMHI Net Assets Fiscal Year $202,628 $476,518 $883,794 $1,103,418 $1,361,521 $1,636,167 $1,881,721 $1,973,359 Net Asset 40 Breaking Barriers in Behavioral Health Care The IT Project, which is a joint public/private venture of NJAMHAA, the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the IT Project participants, remained stable in its funding from DMHAS, receiving $514,924; along with $240,398 in IT support contract revenue in FY2022. The IT Project assists providers of behavioral health care with the collection, processing, integration and interpretation of data through effective use of health information technologies. By investigating the application of new technologies, the IT Project strives to increase efficiency, enhance revenue, reduce costs and, in general, support the providers who provide high-quality treatment to individuals in need of behavioral healthcare services. For FY2022, the net asset balance for the New Jersey Mental Health Institute (NJMHI) was $20,942. Together, NJAMHAA and NJMHI provide insights and recommendations for strengthening the behavioral healthcare system, which in turn strengthens the community in order to ensure timely access to the most appropriate, highest quality treatment and support services for all New Jersey residents.
