NJAMHAA-FY23-Annual-Report

43 Looking Ahead Since its founding in 1951, NJAMHAA has grown and evolved to help provider organizations prepare for major changes in the behavioral healthcare field and other areas, such as legislation and health insurance, that impact access to and delivery of services. NJAMHAA has maintained its determination to break all barriers to care that have arisen more recently. NJAMHAA will persevere in its mission to strengthen the behavioral healthcare system as transformation will continue to take place —most notably, the impending carve-in of more services into Medicaid Managed Care and the transition from fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based payments — as well as new technologies that providers should capitalize on to maximize their effectiveness in serving individuals. NJAMHAA greatly values the service providers and other partners who contribute tremendously to the impact of its advocacy and success of training programs and other initiatives. NJAMHAA is eager to continue working with all members and other partners to continually strengthen the behavioral healthcare system — particularly, to overcome all obstacles to benefit the individuals who rely on the vitally important services that our members provide.
