NJAMHAA News - October 2021
October 2021 15 Integrated Care and Client Engagement with providers of cancer, diabetes and cardiology treatment, as well as professionals focused on maternal and child care, GoMo Health is contributing to significant increases in positive outcomes in both physical and behavioral health. For example, through its partnership with the Center for Brain Health at The University of Texas at Dallas, GoMo Health is developing a prenatal support program that continues through six months postpartum. Topics include stress management, multitasking (which, many are surprised to learn, actually increases stress; therefore, this webinar will focus on the fact that less is more), defining and empowering brain health, social interactions and connectedness, and gratitude (including the resulting increase of dopamine in the reward center of the brain, which gets released to unborn children), according to Cohen. GoMo Health also helps mental healthcare and SUD treatment providers obtain more referrals from hospitals, primary care providers and specialists. By facilitating communication with referral sources about how patients are doing, the collaboration among providers is strengthened and enables mutual clients to achieve more positive outcomes. These successes align for more opportunities to provide integrated care. Enabling Providers toMake theMost of Telehealth According to Gold, “Telehealth is mostly tele-video appointments, and videos should be a small tactical component, not the overarching strategy. Counselors can make that time more effective with a fuller understanding of each client’s life outside of appointments.” In video counseling sessions, clients may say they are doing well when they actually are not. “An intelligent therapeutic and data collection are needed to make all counseling more effective, which enables consumers to be more engaged and apply lifestyle therapies in their everyday lives. That’s what telehealth is all about,” Gold said. “GoMo Health enables clinicians to practice precision health by providing longitudinal real-time data of what’s going on in patients’ lives.” “GoMo Health monitors progressive outcomes and utilization of resources in overarching activity reports, whereas telehealth only provides (patient) self-reports of the discussions. The numbers and data speak volumes,” Cohen added. To le arn more about GoMo Health, visit gomohealth.com/. GoMo Health monitors progressive outcomes.
