To educatemore individuals about suicide risk, Summit Oaks established a partnership a few years agowith the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (NAASP). “NAASP provides us with educational and marketing materials. We spread the word, attend community events, and educate our doctors and counselors,” Stewart said. “When patients are discharged, we make sure they and their families are aware of hotlines and other resources,” Hannam added. “Our goal is to keep people in the community and not requiring hospitalization.
