Day 2 will start with a keynote presentation, TransformingMental Health Care: The Collaborative CareModel in Action , by TheresaMiskimen Rivera, MD, DLFAPA, President of the American Psychiatric Association. It will also feature a variety of workshops, including presentations on the growing importance of mental health professionals in regard to hostage and crisis negotiation; the evolution of stigma within behavioral health; and adverse childhood experiences and their long-termeffects. The conference’s Day 2 plenary session will feature Chuck Ingoglia, MSW, President and CEO of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, who will provide an overview of the national behavioral health landscape, highlighting recent changes within federal agencies related to oversight, implementation, and funding authority.
