NNews-Sep-2026
September 2026 3 We frequently seek clarification and promptly share those details, and we host our own forums for more information sharing and strategizing – most notably, our Health Maintenance Organization Council and several practice groups: Adult Mental Health, Addictions, Chief Financial Officers and Children’s. Many other opportunities to collaborate on advocacy and implementation of new requirements will occur at our Fall Conference, Standing Strong Together to Elevate Behavioral Health . It will feature a keynote presentation focusing on H.R.1 by Carole Johnson, President and CEO of University Hospital, who previously served as DHS Commissioner and federal Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration. This critical topic will also be the focus of the plenary session with DHS Commissioner Dr. Stephen Cha, DCF Acting Commissioner Joseph Ribsam and DOHDeputy Commissioner Raquel Mazon Jeffers. We look forward to seeing you at this important event, which also offers time to network, develop new partnerships and practice self-care by taking a break from your daily routine. This event will be held on October 20, 2026, at the APA Hotel Woodbridge in Iselin, NJ. In all the forums that NJAMHAA hosts, our leadership is essential and undoubtedly impactful. By partnering with you and other state and national stakeholders, we will ensure that our members prevail through these current difficulties, emerging better positioned for the future. Sincerely, Debra L. Wentz PhD President and CEO View all conference details and register to attend at: n jamhaa.site-ym.com/mpage/Fall-26
