Number and Type of Credits: Clinical Restore and Rise: A Trauma-informed Path through Yoga and Meditation, Course #6428 is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 8/11/2025 - 8/11/2027. Social workers completing this course will receive 1 clinical continuing education credit. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This session offers an in-depth exploration of trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness, grounded in current research and best practices. Participants will examine the evidence-based benefits of these approaches for individuals impacted by trauma, with a focus on fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and holistic healing. Through interactive discussion and experiential learning, participants will explore how trauma-informed principles can be thoughtfully integrated into diverse professional settings, including education, healthcare, mental health, and community services. Emphasis will be placed on cultural humility, with strategies for adapting practices to meet the unique needs of individuals from varied backgrounds and communities. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with practical tools and inclusive approaches to confidently incorporate trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness into their work with integrity, sensitivity, and effectiveness.
