That vital, community-based work creates an expanding digital footprint that follows every employee, from case managers in the field to executives in the office. This timely session will explore how everyday digital activity across devices, platforms, and remote access points can unintentionally create exposure — especially in an era of increasingly sophisticated, artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced cyber threats. Moving beyond a traditional IT discussion, this presentation will focus on the human side of cybersecurity and the leadership responsibility to safeguard both people and each organization’s mission. Participants will gain practical, actionable strategies to build a resilient digital safety net — one that protects staff from manipulation, secures sensitive client information, and ensures technology strengthens rather than disrupts behavioral health and community-based services. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the end of this session, attendees will be able to: 1. Identify how everyday digital activity across devices and remote access environments creates exposure for both field-based and office-based behavioral health staff. 2. Recognize how AI-enhanced cyber threats and social engineering tactics exploit urgency, trust, and empathy within care-driven environments. 3. Apply a practical five-step framework to strengthen organizational resilience, protect client information, and reduce the risk of technology-related disruptions to care delivery.
