Program Book 15 Plenary Address PLENARY 2.P . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM The EKAM Tour: Bringing AI Innovation to the Frontlines of Healthcare COURSE DESCRIPTION: Artificial intelligence is rapidly emerging in healthcare, but successful adoption often depends on how these technologies are introduced to the clinicians who use them every day. In this session, oncology nurse Margia Fonseca shares the story of the “EKAM Tour” — a grassroots initiative designed to bring awareness, engagement, and understanding of an AI-supported clinical documentation tool directly to healthcare teams. Inspired by the idea that innovation spreads best through connection and visibility, the EKAM Tour focused on meeting clinicians where they work and demonstrating how AI can support — rather than replace — the human aspects of care. Through presentations, demonstrations, and peer-to-peer conversations across multiple clinical settings, this initiative helped clinicians better understand how AI tools can streamline documentation, reduce administrative burden, and allow more time for meaningful patient interaction. This session provides a real-world clinical perspective on how frontline healthcare professionals can play a powerful role in introducing new technologies, building trust around innovation, and helping translate emerging tools into practical improvements in patient care.
