FY2024 Annual Report

25 NJAMHAA Annual Report FY 2024 The Integrated Healthcare Council (IHC) brings together businesses that offer a variety of products and services, such as furniture, diagnostic testing and consulting on policy and operational issues to help reinforce providers’ effectiveness, efficiency and long-term viability. While they meet formally only on an ad hoc basis, IHC members actively participate in NJAMHAA conferences, practice groups and other councils, and receive and share information on pertinent issues. The IHC also includes health maintenance organizations (HMOs), whose representatives actively participate on NJAMHAA’s HMO Council, along with providers and staff from the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), which oversees the contracts with the HMOs. This group fosters information sharing, as well as bidirectional and open communication, leading to a collaborative approach and often joint advocacy in preparing for the carve-in of more behavioral health services under the Medicaid 1115 Waiver.
