30 Transformational Leadership with Powerful Results NJAMHAA achieves maximum impact in its advocacy through strategic partnerships with state and national entities, as well as member organizations. These relationships contribute significantly to NJAMHAA’s influence that results in increased fiscal, legislative and regulatory support for the behavioral healthcare system and, therefore, greater access to treatment and support services. NJAMHAA and these organizations continually share information that further bolsters all of the entities’ efforts to support providers and the individuals they serve. NJAMHAA’s extensive partnerships also include memberships in and strategic alliances with 59 state organizations, companies, committees and advisory groups, and 18 national and international organizations in addition to those listed above. D ivision of Mental Health and Addiction Services’ Addictions Professional Advisory Council: NJAMHAA staff has been attending this group’s meetings as guests for years, and Dr. Wentz was appointed in 2023. Mental Health Association in New Jersey Mental Health Coalition Opioid Recovery and Remediation Fund Advisory Council – Dr. Wentz was appointed to serve on the council when it was created in March 2023.
