Annual Report FY2026 27 T he variety of products and services offered by Integrated Healthcare Council (IHC) members include diagnostic testing, insurance, furniture and expert consultation on policy, fiscal and operational issues. While they meet formally only on an ad hoc basis, IHC members actively participate in NJAMHAA conferences, practice groups and other councils, and receive and share information on pertinent issues. The IHC also includes health maintenance organizations (HMOs), whose representatives actively participate on NJAMHAA’s HMO Council, along with providers and staff from the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), which oversees the contracts with the HMOs. One of the top areas of interest is strategies for strengthening collaboration between community behavioral healthcare providers and institutions of higher education. Other important topics are focusing on geographic regions that lack access to quality care and social services; enhancing cultural competency skills; managing conflict with coworkers; and embracing changes, especially during challenging and uncertain times.
