She was involvedwith the organization’s ALAN DESTEFANOWAS FIRST elected to the NJAMHAA Board in FY2012 and has co-chaired the Children’s Practice Group since then. He is currently serving his second termas Secretary. Alan has served as the Executive Director of Cape Atlantic Integrated Network for Kids (INK), the Cape May/Atlantic Care Management Organization (CMO), since January 2002. He has not only been responsible for providing excellent care management services in his two counties, but also has developed a behavioral health home program and led his agency to receive accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Before joining the CMO, he managed residential treatment facilities. Treasurer When asked about the value she gains from serving on the NJAMHAA Board, Derry said, “Communications with my fellow board members, many of whom are top-level executives, is very helpful. For the eight years before joining Cape Atlantic INK, Alan served as Director of Child and Adolescent Services at AtlantiCare Behavioral Health. His earlier positions were Shelter Coordinator at Cumberland County Guidance Center and Director of the Cape/Atlantic Youth Advocate Program. Alan earned his Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Rutgers University. “Just meeting so many people from across our very diverse membership is both awe inspiring and humbling. Most inspiring is the board’s level of talent, professionalism, motivation and commitment to our service industry. The board’s willingness to add their talents and voices to address merger with Steininger Behavioral Health Care in 2012, when the neworganization was named Twin Oaks Community Services; and another merger with Greater Trenton Behavioral HealthCare in 2015, which created Oaks Integrated Care. Derry held several operational and administrative leadership positions over the years and became CEO in October 2016. Derry also serves on the boards of the Camden Coalition and the New Jersey Association of Community Providers; is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, New Jersey Chapter; and is affiliatedwith the Burlington and Camden CountyMental Health Boards.
