All of us are assistingwith developing the Leadership Academy. It’s very rewarding to be a part of that and see it come to fruition andwhere it is now. It’s truly an inspiration,” Becky said. “For me personally, being a NJMHI Board member expanded my knowledge of the psychiatric field working with leaders in New Jersey and other states,” Becky said. “I benefitted from being a Leadership Academy mentor. Becky currently serves as the Lead for the PsychU Stigma and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Sections at Otsuka, and she was appointed as the 2020- 2021 Otsuka DEI Ambassador for Field Medical Affairs. She obtained her MSW from Columbia University in 2004 and MBA from Rutgers University in 2022. In 2018, Michele assumed the role of Executive Director of the Family Guidance Center of Warren County and in 2023, she facilitated a merger with Center for Family Services and became one of the Chief Operating Officers. Michele chaired the New Jersey State Board of Marriage & Family Therapy Examiners in FY2022 and FY2023. Michele shared that her diverse academic and professional background enables her to have insight on issues frommultiple vantage points. “My experience enables me to see things from different perspectives—not only clinical and administrative, but also regarding budgets and regulatory requirements — and it givesme credibility in addressing complex issues,” she said. Over the past two decades, Michele has become recognized as a forward- thinking leader and is well-known for driving change initiatives, including implementing the first wave of value- based reimbursement and starting one of the first community-based, medication assisted treatment programs in northwestern New Jersey.
