Mental and emotional wellness are vital components of healthy aging, yet many older adults face unique challenges that can impact their quality of life. This session explores the critical issues surrounding mental health in seniors, including social isolation, loneliness, stigma around seeking help, and the loss of independence. The speaker will also discuss the often-overlooked problem of elder abuse—whether physical, verbal, psychological, sexual, financial, or neglect. Join us to gain practical skills and insight into how to recognize, support, and connect older adults with the resources they need for a healthier, more fulfilling life.
